…to feel, to love, to be.

Trivia Night

My sister (pictured. and no we’re not twins) is more than a little obsessed with trivia night. Because of that, I’ve now gone three weeks in a row. Each time it’s a completely different experience. I still can’t decide if it’s worth the time and money on a week night, or if I should’ve just stayed home. Guess I’ll have to go a few more times before making my final decision čśë

Last night’s bonus was a friend’s condiment tower. Because that’s how we do.

Mission Accomplished

After 5 months and 3 weeks, days of sitting around, nights of the TV on, home-cooked meals, dinners out, dancing, karaoke, job interviews, one cross-country drive and apartment hunting – my sister is officially moved to LA.

Today she packed her stuff into our cars and we drove to her new apartment. We unloaded the random boxes and suitcases in 20min, since she really only has a car’s worth of stuff here right now. Then we headed off to a brewery with Carter in tow.

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday at all.

And with that all said, I want to say congrats to her for making it all happen. Thank you to H for allowing my sister to stay with us for such a long time. And yay for me for making it through.

Winning all around.

That Sunlight

Just putting a note up, a sign post, a marker…

That I’m feeling better. (Haven’t felt this good since here). Maybe because the Sun moved into Pisces or Venus too. Maybe because my sister secured a job (congrats to her!!) and she’ll be able to start building her own life here. Maybe because I’m wearing new clothes or because my awesome friends call and text and Facebook me. Maybe because I just have bad weeks that snowball into bad months and maybe that’s OK because I’m always here, and me, and loved…

…even if I forget.

Today LA was that most perfect temperature, where the air is deliciously warm but the heat isn’t too hot. Where I could drive down the 405 with the setting sun lighting up my car windows and the Imagine Dragons record blasting. Enjoy this little track wherever you are when you read this.

Happy Birthday Ricky!

Happy 25th birthday to my little sister Ricky. Quarter-century! If she’s that old, then I must almost be 30. Eek.

Tonight we have plans to go out country-line dancing in the Valley of Los Angeles. At a gay bar. Should be hilarious.

I bought her the Project Life Cobalt kit and some pocket pages. I am so excited to embark on (aka jump on the band wagon of) a year of Project Life and got my sister interested as well. Unfortnately, the kit I want, by crafter Elise Blaha Cripe, still isn’t available yet. Worst case I’ll get the Amber kit.

Yay for having my sister in Los Angeles and living in my apartment – partners in crime.
